Oh, man...That was a tough loss we had on Sunday against my former Fam, the Chicago Bears. That game definitely didn’t pan out how I wanted it to. I really wish we would've pulled it out. Fortunately, we’re still 6-3 in the division.
I can’t lie... It felt awkward dressing in an unfamiliar locker room and standing on an unfamiliar sideline. It wasn’t long ago that Soldier Field was my office. Now I check-in as a visitor. The weird vibe I had running through me was unmistakable.
I think the awkwardness really started to sink in as our bus pulled in to the stadium parking lot. As a Bear, I’d just ride on in driving my own car; but now I was Soldier Field-bound in a Greyhound. The 4th Phase was tailgating all around us, having a good time, preparing to do work in the cheering section. Me... I may have felt a bit strange, but I knew, once that whistle blew the game into action, I’d be in-between the lines playing football. And when you’re playing football, it doesn’t matter what stadium you’re in. All you have time to concern yourself with is... GETTING. THAT. WIN.
Ha -- Obviously, we didn’t get that win. But we’re going to put the loss behind us, fix the areas where we went wrong, and move on to the next one: a big NFC game against the Carolina Panthers (the other team I used to play for).
Holla at ‘cha later. GO LIONS!
