When you’re NFL football in November and December it doesn’t matter how you win; all that matters is that you just straight-up get wins, no matter how tough they are to come by.
Sunday’s win against the Panthers was one of those “tough wins.”
Our goal is to get to the playoffs; and, right now, we’re sitting at a record of 7-3, which puts us closer to our destination. Sure, it’s great that we set ourselves up to be a contender in September and October by going 6-2, but that doesn’t mean we’re a lock for the postseason. We have to keep making noise. And that noise is going to have to be real loud this Thanksgiving Thursday when we take on the undefeated Green Bay Packers; because they, quite possibly, could cause us to have to earn another one of those "tough wins."
It’s been a long time since Detroit has played meaningful football in November - especially late November football on Thanksgiving day. I’m telling you...Detroit City is going to be jacked-up this Thursday -- It’s going to be nuts -- It’s gonna be bananas. I couldn’t be more excited to be in the building for what's gonna go down in a couple days...
GO LIONS.
